Weekend Wedding Festivities!

This past weekend Mr. B and I attended a rehearsal dinner, a wedding cocktail reception and two weddings! After much deliberation, I picked the three outfits I'd wear all weekend. (Two events were in the same night.)

 This first dress I wore to a rehearsal dinner with Nine West boot-like pumps that I got at Marshall's, and a pendant necklace. I wore a top-knot this night because I knew it would down the next two days!

This next dress from French Connection did a double appearance first at a wedding and then a cocktail reception! I kept the accessories simple with just some white pearls from this pearl trio from Target! And my Michael Kors watch that is no longer on the website but can be found here!

GAP finds update!

After my last post, I went straight to GAP to try on the things that I had found online!

Here's the second outfit I had put together! I found all the pieces and tried it on for a better visual and I LOVED IT! I'm posting with and without the belt. I'm liking it without. What do you think?

Here I tried on what the model was wearing online, so we could see what it looked like on someone closer to 5'2"! Sometimes things that look great on the model don't always look good on the average (or petite) person, but I still definitely like this outfit!

I couldn't pass up this light blue, pink, and white striped denim type shirt. I paired it with the GAP belt from the first outfit, the levi white jeans I was already wearing, and my Forever 21 cutout flats (that you see a lot of)! This was by far my favorite look of the trip!

Last, but not least, I found this adorable dress that surprisingly was not too long on me! I can see myself pairing it with a brown wedge or nude pump and some gold accessories!

GAP Spring Sale: My personal picks!

So right now GAP is having a 60% off spring sale! I've been through the whole site and found my favorites! Here they are!

This spotty denim boyfriend shirt was the first thing that caught my eye! I've been looking for a denim shirt that was just the right color and I think I've found it! I love the styling of the white denim with a camel colored belt like this or this! 

I'd probably throw on my Forever 21 "Must-Have Cutout Flats" with it and a statement necklace like this or this. (Both from Forever 21 and both under $11!)

 

This boyfriend shirt was the second sale item that I fell in love with! While I do think it looks great with the denim shorts the model is wearing, I'd probably wear these pants for a pop of color and do a little print mixing with these pointy polkadot flats!

A tank like this white one, you can wear with almost ANYTHING! You can dress it up with a blazer like this, or dress it down with some printed denim and some neutral flip flops. Heck, I'd wear the tank, blazer, printed pants, and tan flip flops all at the same time!

Almost everything I've linked is ON SALE both online and in stores! So get 'em while they're there! I think I'm heading to GAP right now myself :D

(Being petite you really have to try things on, but I did pick petite friendly items by choosing all cropped pants!)

What I Wore: Coffee Shop Casual

So, I don't typically wear branded tees like this but I felt comfortable pairing this hot pink VS PINK one with these jeans (that are less than $10!) to work at my coffee shop today. It's causal enough but not sloppy looking! I think the flats really balanced out the pink!

 Anddd the jeans are rolled TWICE to make them both summer appropriate and petite appropriate. I'm considering cropping these myself now that winter is over! I'll keep you posted about that and hopefully make a tutorial that makes it super easy to hem almost any pant with almost no skill necessary!
